Qatar, 3rd October 2008

Dear valued customer, As you may be aware, American International Group, Inc. (AIG), the parent company of AIG MEMSA Insurance Co. (Qatar Branch) made an announcement on Friday, October 3, 2008, about the future of the business. AIG plans to retain its U.S. property and casualty and foreign general insurance businesses, and to retain a continuing ownership interest in its foreign life insurance operations. AIG's worldwide property and casualty businesses generated approximately $40 billion in revenues in 2007. In today’s press release, AIG Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Edward M. Liddy, said, "We are refocusing on our traditional strengths in property and casualty underwriting. We have a number of remarkable businesses with leading market positions and significant competitive advantages that could not be recreated today." We want to assure you that the announcement will have no impact on the terms of your insurance policy. The insurance industry in Qatar is highly regulated, which means you can be assured that any claims you might have now or in the future will be paid on time. If you have any questions please feel free to contact your agent or any member of the AIG MEMSA Insurance Co. (Qatar Branch) team. Regards, Mohamed Mahran
